The junior residents at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan become more agitated saying that the head of the financial administration division of the foundation, Kamal Rayamajhi, tried to physically attack a doctor couple by drinking alcohol. The agitating residents accused Rayamajhi of abusing Dr Biplav Karki, a DM student living near his residence, by drinking alcohol and insulting him on July 18.

The Junior Resident Welfare Society demanded legal action against Rayamajhi and his resignation from the establishment. They announced to boycott all services except emergency and covid treatment services until the demand is met.
