An elderly Dalit couple from Musikot Municipality, Wami of Gulmi were beaten up by their neighbours for being Dalit. Tej Bahadur Damai, a 60-year-old resident of Musikot Municipality, Gulmi and his wife Chitrakala Damai were brutally beaten with sticks by their neighbour Dilaram Sapkota and his wife Binita Sapkota on July 15 for sitting in front of their house. The Dalit couple sustained 80% bruises in their bodies.
