Family of Anisha Rai, 21, of Khandbari municipality-5 has lodged a complaint at district police office on July 23 accusing her husband Nabin Sherpa of inflicting physical and mental pain upon her. The victim’s sister Sarita demanded action against the accused saying that Anisha attempted to kill herself by pouring kerosene on her body on July 22 after she could not tolerate the torments. The investigation has revealed that the Anisha tried to commit suicide accusing husband of inflicting mental and physical pain on her on a daily basis in an inebriated state and having extra-marital affair. The victim is undergoing medical treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences after she could not be treated at Khandbari hospital. Her condition is critical after she sustained burn injuries in her whole body. Police said that the investigation would take place after arresting the accused. C
