Kavre, Balika lai balatkar prayas garne prahari giraftaar. July 24, Police constable Chhatra Mishra, 33, has been arrested on July 23 on charge of trying to rape a 9-year-old on July 18. Hailing from Okhaldhunga, Mishra was transferred to Siraha two weeks ago. He had returned to the cosmetic shop in Kavre where he had worked before. Mishra had taken the girl inside the shop in inebriated condition and removed her clothes. The locals had apprehended Mishra, who used to frequent the shop. District Police Office Kavre had arrested Mishra from Siraha after he managed to flee from the villager's control. The family of victim has filed a complaint of rape attempt against the accused. Medical check-up of the girl was conducted in Maternity Home, Thapathali on July 19. The victim was staying with her aunt since April after her parents did not take care of her.
