Ramita Devi, a 38-year-old resident of Maniyari in Ward No. 20 of Birgunj Metropolitan City, was rushed to Bhavani Hospital in Ward 15 for treatment after suffering from heart problems. But after doctors declared her dead, her relatives took her to the funeral site, however, she opened her mouth in the site, then was again rushed to the hospital. The relatives were furious, vandalized the hospital and assaulting the doctors after the doctors announced her dead again after re-checking on August 1.
According to the police, a team of 15-20 people vandalized the place and assaulted a doctor and a nurse at the hospital. A glass and a telephone set in the hospital's gallery were damaged, police said. Police arrested four people on charges of vandalizing the hospital and assaulting doctors. Among the arrested are Rakesh Ram, 32, Suresh Ram, 54, Achche Kumar Ram, 22, and Bhim Ram, 28, of Bara Parwanipur have been arrested.
Kavita Chaudhary, 32, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-15 and Bijay Mahato, 27, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-13 were injured in the attack.
