Mahendranagar, Aatmahatya garnu agi bhatiji ko hatya MAHENDRANAGAR: A 18-year-old youth in Kataujapani VDC of Baitadi district has committed suicide, after murdering the infant daughter of his elder brother. According to police, Mane Luhar (18) murdered his seven-month-old niece Pushpa, following a scuffle with his brother's wife on Tuesday night. Luhar committed the murder by striking the infant against a rock on the premises of his own house. Following the incident, Luhar went on to hang himself by a tree, situated at a distance of around 500 meters from the house. Luhar's sister-in-law, who was injured in the scuffle, has been taken to District Hospital, Baitadi, for medical treatment. Both the dead bodies have been sent to Local Health Centre for postmortem. Investigation is underway, police said.
