Relatives and cadres of UML leader Yog Kumar Yadav of Dhanushadham Municipality are accused of brutally beating a Dalit family of Dhanushadham Municipality-4 in Dhanusa. The four members of the victim family are identified as Srichan Mahara, Hiradevi Mahara, Opin Mahara and Urmila Mahara. They were injured in the incident and taken to a local health facility for treatment.
According to the injured Shrichan Mahara, relatives of UML mayoral candidate Sanjay Yadav, Krishna Yadav, Bijay Yadav, Dhanesh Yadav and others entered their house and repeatedly attacked them on the pretext of the land dispute. According to police, Yadav's relatives had reportedly beaten them over a dispute over social issues. Police said that the incident is being investigated and action would be taken against the culprits.
