July 24, Narayan Bahadur Bhandari, 60, of Dandagaun in Dhuskun VDC-4 has tried to burn Bishnu Kumari Bhandari, 67, of same place alive on charge of practicing witchcraft on July 17. The victim registered a complaint against Narayan at the District Police Office on July 24 saying that he tried to set her on fire by pouring kerosene on her while she was at her house. She accused Om Bahadur Bhandari of same place of instructing Narayan to kill her. The victim went to the police post Piskar on July 22 to file her complaint, but the police post told her to visit the District Police Office after which arrived at the district headquarters. Inspector Kamal Bahadur Bista of the DPO said that the sub-ordinate agency had been asked to arrest the accused.
