49-year-old Dharmanath Chaudhary and 44-year-old Roghodevi Chaudhary of Bode Barsain Municipality-7 remain seriously injured after being beaten by Dharmanath's elder brother Ramdev Chaudhary and his family over a land-related dispute. Dharmanth who sustains injury on his head and his wife, whose leg has been broken in the attack are undergoing treatment at Gajendra Narayan Singh hospital in Rajbiraj.

Police have arrested Ramdev on Friday on the charge of the attack. The cause of the attack is a feud between the two families over a land. Initially Dharmanath and Ramdev's wife had run into a dispute but it intensified after male members of the families got involved into it. Dharmanath claimed that he was attacked while trying to defend his wife who was also being beaten accusing her of being a witch.
