Forest Ranger Troops of Bara is accused of brutally beating three men in the custody on August 22 who were arrested on the charge of timber smuggling The victims are identified as 52-year-old Shivlakahan Chaudhary of Jitpur Simara sub-metropolitan-17, 29-year-old Bishal Chaudhary of Karaiyamai rural municipality-1, and 42-year-old Nabi Miya Ansari of Harrinya in Karaiyamai-2. Though the victims claimed physical violence used by the troops inside the custody after their arrest, the Head of the office has denied the claims. They sustained injuries in their legs and back but are still kept in the detention cell of the office without any general treatment.
