A clash between inmates broke in CRC block at Nakhu prison in Lalitpur. A prison source said that a clash erupted over the use of abusive language and after the prison's leader increased the price of hotel food inside the prison. According to SSP Kiran Bajracharya of Lalitpur, there were reports of clashes over the use of language and the purchase of food and supplies.
There was a scuffle between all the inmates in the block and the head prisoners, saying that they did not have the freedom to call and the food in the prison canteen was not good. Lalitpur police have deployed a police team from Jawalakhel to control the clash. Police said that some prisoners were injured in the clash. The prison administration has made an arrangement that the inmates are not allowed to use code language while calling. Prisoners also protested on the issue.
