Youths close to Deuba vandalize polling station of Rapti-6 in Chitwan

The polling station of Rapti-6 was vandalized in the middle of the Congress General Convention. Narayan Upreti, Rapti Municipal President of the Nepali Congress, informed that the polling centre of Rapti Municipality, Ward No. 6 of East Chitwan was vandalized on September 6.  According to him, youths close to party president Sher Bahadur Deuba had vandalized the party polling station while trying to elect a unanimous leadership. He also said that they had assaulted polling officer Ram Nath Dhakal.

According to Upreti, the youths tore the minutes and accounts books and smashed the chairs. The ward session has been postponed after the polling station was vandalized. Out of 12 wards in Rapti, Congress ward leadership has been unanimously elected in 9 wards and voting has taken place in 3 wards.
