Youth staged a demonstration in front of Min Bhawan Campus in Kathmandu against the American Project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) on September 8. Youth protested after the news of the vice president of MCC, Fatima Sumar coming to visit Nepal broke. Police arrested the demonstrators who were carrying the placard of Fatima Sumar. The United States is investing Rs 55 billion through the project to invest in hydropower and roads within five years. But there were protests saying that the project was not in the interest of the country.
