July 30, Mamata Kumari Yadav, 31, of Gonarpur VDC-9 has filed a complaint against her husband Pankaj Yadav, 35, at District Police Office on July 30 saying that he had expelled her from home for bringing lesser dowries. According to her, their marriage took place in 2009 and the harassment had begun soon after. She added that she had not been allowed to live at home continuously for over 15 days. Her natal home is at Sursand under Bela Thana in Sitamadi district of Indian state of Bihar. She said that she could not file the complaint earlier as she was not much aware of Nepali laws and had language problems too. Chief of Women and Children Service Centre of District Police Office, Rama Thapa said that both sides have been called for a meeting there.
