Santosh Urau, 24, of Mirchaiya-3 in Siraha, died under suspicious circumstances. Santosh worked for Saurya Cement Industry in Mirchaiya Municipality-2 as a truck driver. On September 8, he was hit inside the cement industry while sleeping under a truck driven by another driver. The driver died while being treated at the Mangalam Health Care Center, according to police. Police stated that they are looking for information on the driver and the truck involved in the incident.
The aunt of the deceased, Sufal Devi Urau, alleged that the hospital had deliberately killed her nephew as he was hit by the truck of Chandeshwar Sah, the manager of Mangalam Hospital. The family of the deceased accused him of murder out of fear that the treatment would cost a lot. The deceased driver had been driving his other truck for two months.
According to Santosh's family, the incident was mysterious because a tire mark was seen on his chest, but there was also a mark of a cut on his leg with a sharp weapon. The relatives have been protesting in front of the hospital, stating that they will not allow the body to be taken out until they provide written information on which medicine was used and which doctor treated him. The hospital has not yet released any official information regarding the incident. According to police, the body has been sent to Lahan for a postmortem.
