Police have arrested a man from Siraha Municipality-12, Saraswar on charge of beating up a neighbor woman calling her a witch.

Lakhan Sah, 45, was arrested on charge of beating a 36-year-old local woman calling her a witch, police said.

According to Budathoki, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Sah was arrested on the basis of information that he had beaten the woman next door, calling her a witch and accusing her of making his granddaughter sick. The incident is being further investigated.
