Peace activists staged a demonstration in Kathmandu on September 20, demanding the ratification of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty on the occasion of  International Peace day, which was signed by Nepal in 20 September 2017. The demonstrators claimed that the unwillingness of the government for the ratification of the Nuclear non-proliferation treaty is unjustifiable. The demonstration was joined by Shanti Samaj's founder Krishna Pahadi, advisor Homkant Chaulagain and Uttam Pudasaini, Founder member Krishna Kandel, vice-president Ratna Laxmi Shrestha, General Secretary Ram Krishna Baral and many more.
