A 45-year-old woman, Kamala Tamang, was found murdered recently in Sunakothi, Lalitpur metropolitan city-17 of the Kathmandu valley, due to the superstition that a rope used in murder sells for a high price. Police arrested 23-year-old Sabin Praja of Makawanpur, 20-year-old Suman Magar of Morang, and 18-year-old Prabina Praja on the charge of Kamala's murder
The Metropolitan Crime Division's chief, SSP Chandra Kuber Khapung, claims the trio were told that a rope used to hang someone is worth a fortune. As a result, Tamang was killed. Further investigation is underway.
