The clash between police and local youth on the night of October 15 left 7 policemen injured in West Rukum. One among the injured, ASI Kamalraj Bohora had a head injury and was referred to Kathmandu for further treatment.
The joint police team was deployed from District Police Office and temporary police post as soon as they were informed about the youth group vandalizing a parked truck of plate number 1 Kha 2392 using stones and beer bottles in Bagbajar of Musikot Municipality. The youth pelted stones and bottles at police when they tried to arrest them.
Police arrested 20-year-old Naresh Pun Magar, 18-year-old Rajan Prakash Giri, 20-year-old Aakash Pariyar, 23-year-old Murkesh Pun Magar, 24-year-old Khadananda KC and 25-year-old Hari Bahadur Gharti on the charge of their involvement in the incident. Whereas the other two accused, Dhaniram Nepali and Swayal BK are still absconding.
