An unidentified group vandalized Radio Kailash FM in Simkot Rural Municipality-6 on October 12. According to Radio Kailash FM's Manager Rajan Rawat, the office door, window and microphone were vandalized and a hard disk, Rs 3,000, three pen drives, a bag and a flashlight were stolen. At the same time, the door of the Snowland Integrated Development Center in the house where the radio office is located was smashed, said Rawat.
The FM's Director Janak Bahadur Shahi said that a complaint was lodged at the District Police Office on October 13. The damage caused by the vandalism is Rs. 272,000 and further investigation into the incident is underway, said DSP Heramba Sharma of the District Police Office.
