The family of 21-year-old Ramesh BK, from Makrandanda of  Makwanpurgadhi rural municipality-3, while talking with the journalists, blamed police for tagging the death of their son as suicide and trying to close the case without understanding the context of the incident. The father of the deceased demanded justice for the family by punishing the perpetrators. The mother of the deceased said that the police registered their case only after the fourth day and arrested the accused Yadav Pudasini and his two sons, who were later released by the court on bail.

The incident happened on September 4. I was together with my son in the land that we had leased for 2 years. He had just come from his maternal uncle's house. The family of neighbour Yadav Pudasaini attacked my son at once and pushed him down the road. Yadav Pudasaini along with his wife Saraswati and two sons Rajesh and Rajiv strangled his neck and caned him for no reason. I couldn't do anything. The son vomited blood and had injuries all over the body.

The son ran towards the house after they left him. I was going towards the house together with the local police. The Pudasini family had also followed him to the house, and they were talking about killing my son by strangling him to death using a rope. The Pudasini family returned back within 10 minutes and said that he hung himself. The police were there with me, but I was not allowed to go to the incident site.

The police took the dead body of my son to the district headquarter and asked us to burn it as soon as possible. We denied burning it without a postmortem. My husband who was in foreign employment had also asked not to burn the dead body without post mortem before he arrived. However, we were forced to burn the dead body through his father arrived within 6 days.
