Saptari/August 6 A 19-year-old girl has complained that police refused to accept her complaint of rape attempt by Dipak Kumar Sah, 21, of Nakati Raypur VDC-8 against her. The victim and her father, on August 6, said that DSP Kedar Dhakal scolded them for bringing the complaint late. According to the victim, Sah attempted to rape her while she was returning home after herding buffaloes in Shambhunaht VDC-2 on August 1. She said that a local who was passing along saved her after she screamed for help. She is taking shelter at the Safe House after undergoing treatment at the Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj. The victim's family has urged National Women's Commission, INSEC, Women and Children Office and media persons to take steps for action against the perpetrator.
