Area Police office-Pokhariya arrested Aodhya Patel, ward chairperson of ward number 6, Jagarnathpur rural municipality, on the charge of assaulting Rishi Patel, Raj Patel, and Laxman Patel all from the same family, due to personal enmity. All three victims are being treated at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj.

The relative of the victim mentioned that Rishi and Laxman, the two brothers were encircled in between Baharwa and Ramnagari road and charged with an iron rod as per the order of the ward chairperson. Raj Patel, the father of the two brothers, who reached the incident site after getting informed about the assault, was also attacked, leaving Laxman's hand fractured. Police are searching for other accused who are still absconding.
