Police arrested Shushil Sharma, a 33-year-old man of Naikap, Kathmandu, on the charge of murdering Harka Bahadur Baniya of Kavre Meche. According to the police, the victim's dead body was found burnt in Keshab Pandey's house at Bafal. The victim's body was unidentified but the police investigated and found his fingerprints and the clothes that he wore while he went to collect his old age allowance in the bank.
Harka Bahadur used to beg for money in the Bafal area, his nephew visited him on October 18 and asked him to stop begging and leave with him. His nephew made videos of Harka. The accused Sushil also met the victim on the same day and observed his behaviour while the nephew was taking videos. The accused assumed that the victim had lots of money since his nephew just come from a foreign country. So the accused planned to loot the victim by luring him to his home by giving him alcohol and taking his money when he sleeps.
Baniya found out that his Sushil took a Rs 50 note from his pocket that lead to a fight between them. Sushil told the police that he pushed Baniya during the dispute and his head was hit on the wall. According to the police, Baniya's clothes and shoes were burnt and during the interrogation, Sushil denied the allegation by saying that his clothes were burnt because he was heating himself in the fire but later he admitted to the murder.
