Three trippers used to transport construction materials were vandalized at Miklajung in Morang on the evening of December 16. The plate number of the vandalized trucks are Province 3-001 Ka 0090, Province 3-001-Ka-0091, and Province 3-001-Ka-0290. All three vehicles belonged to Motidan Construction Pvt. Ltd and were used in the construction of Beldangi (Jhapa) to Sardu (Dharan) section of Madan Bhandari Lokmarga.
According to police, a 26-year-old local Shivaraj Magar also known as Dhumbe was responsible for the act. Dhumbe, stopped the tripper on the road, charged stones at the trippers one by one, and fled from the scene. The reason behind the action remains unknown. Police had suspected that Dhumbe might have vandalized the trippers in the effect of alcohol.
The front windscreen of all the trippers has broken, however, the driver and helper didn't sustain any injuries. All three trippers are now kept at Area Police Office in Madhumalla.
