CPN-UML student wing cadres picket Nepal Oil Corporation office in Surkhet

Students affiliated to CPN-UML's ANNISU picketed the regional office of Nepal Oil Corporation in Surkhet in protest of the rise in prices of petroleum products. Students of CPN-UML-affiliated ANNISU surrounded the office on Thursday in protest of the price hike. The students also staged a sit-in at the office for some time.
Students who surrounded the office demanding repeal of the price hike in petroleum products have warned to stage agitation. The Nepal Oil Corporation had increased the price of petrol by Rs 3 per liter and diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter with effect from 12 noon on Wednesday. The students have protested against the increase in prices of other daily necessities.
