KANCHANPUR: The Maiti Nepal Kanchanpur branch has rescued 54 girls from Gaddachauki and other border points in Kanchanpur district in the last six months while they were being trafficked to India. The Mahendranagar-based Office of the Maiti Nepal, an organisation working against human trafficking, received 133 applications asking to find their relatives missing from different places. Likewise, the Maiti Nepal rescued 50 girls who were taken to India for trafficking alluring them of foreign employment in different Gulf Nations. Nine among the girls rescued from the border points and different Indian areas have been handed over to their families, Maheshwari Bhatta, District Coordinator of Maiti Nepal said.
