Two persons died in a khukuri attack at Madhillo Chimling, Balephi rural municipality-7 of the Sindhupalchok district, some kilometers north of Kathmandu, on Sunday evening.

The victims have been identified as locals Basu Maya Tamang (70), and Santa Bir Tamang (59). Another local Bijaya Tamang, another local, attacked them under the influence of alcohol, according to police.

The law enforcers have arrested the murder accused. District Police Office chief Rajan Adhikari says they are further investigating the case.
