Saptari/August 20 Ram Kumari Marik, 25, of Malekpur VDC-4 has filed a complaint against her relatives at District Police Office on August 20 for physically abusing her on charge of being witch. The accused have been identified as her sister-in-law Arhuliya Devi Marik, 45, Arhuliya’s sons Dilip, 30, and Binod, 22, daughter Murti Devi, 20, Murti Devi’s father-in-law Bhupat Marik, 50, of Topa in Bamangama Katti VDC. According to her, she was assaulted at home when her husband Rudan Marik had gone to a Krishna Temple at Khurhuriya of Malekpur VDC-5. She was accused of casting spell on Murti Devi leaving her childless. While assaulting, Ram Kumari was asked to cast counter-spell. Ram Kumari, who was injured in the incident, is undergoing treatment at Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj. Man
