A group of Nepali Congress cadres padlocked the Hetauda municipal committee office demanding not to form a coalition for the local election in Hetauda sub-Metropolitan. A team of leaders and activists including District Member Sanchita Luintel and Tarun Dal Municipal Chairman Sunil Giri padlocked the Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Committee meeting during the meeting. The demonstrators stated that the partnership will cause the party to lose crucial positions and that the coalition should not be formed.

NC Makwanpur Chairperson Buddha Lama said the padlock was organized for alliances, elections, and tickets. He said that those involved in the padlocking will be brought under the ambit of legal action. Currently, Anandaram Parajuli and Prabhat Kumar Dahal are aspiring for mayor in Hetauda sub-metropolis.
