Cadres of Nepali Congress (NC) in Pokhara have locked the local leaders including district committee members inside the party office on  April 24 demanding the candidacy for mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City be given to NC instead of another party from the coalition.  According to NC Kaski district chairperson Kishordatt Baral, cadres locked, the chairperson, ward chairpersons, and other cadres inside the office while they were having a meeting. Police was deployed to prevent the situation from escalating.
