Cadres of CPN-UML disgruntled over the selection of candidate for the post of deputy mayor of Thuli Bheri Municipality in Dolpa have pelted stone at DSP Niranjan Thapa injuring him during a clash on Monday.

The incident took place during the registration of candidateship by Nara Bahadur Budha for deputy mayor's post. A clash between the cadres of CPN-UML started after opposing cadres within the party who were unhappy for not being given the ticket for deputy mayor's candidate from the party tore Budha's candidate registration paper. DSP Thapa sustained injury on his head while intervening the clash. Police are looking for the person who threw the stone at Thapa.
