Dhawa Gurung, a local of of Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality-5 in Dolpa was physically assaulted by the cadres of incumbent ward chairperson, Sonam Sangwo Gurung on April 25, while he was going to register his candidature for local level election. Locals claimed that though the exact reason for the physical assault is not identified but they alleged that, the victim was physically assaulted because he was going to register his candidature against Sonam Sangwo Gurung. Due to physical assault, the victim sustained a serious injury on his head and he has not yet received medical treatment,
