Kathmandu/ August 21 A complaint has been lodged against Hira Kaji Maharjan, 30, of Sitapaila VDC-1, Kathmandu at Women and Children Service Center, Kathmandu on August 21 on charge of inflicting torture to his wife Laxmi Maharjan, 27. The victim is living at her parental home at Maitidevi, Kathmandu Metropolis-33. She complained that her husband inflicted her with physical and mental torture because she demanded a birth registration certificate for her daughter to get admission in the school. She further accused him of neglecting his children and depriving them of food and clothing. Inspector Sushila Pradhan, chief of the WCSC said that the metropolis police range of Swayambhu has been corresponded on August 21 to arrest the accused for an investigation. The couple was married 16 years ago with two daughters.
