Binita Pathak, a 30-year-old candidate for deputy mayoral of Chirreshwornath municipality-10 and her husband Jitendra Pathak, a 35-year-old man alleged that they were physically assaulted by Bijay Yadav, a cadre of Nepali congress on April 29. 

Binita Pathak, a deputy mayoral candidate, has alleged that her husband was beaten by Nepali Congress activist Bijay Yadav while he was campaigning for the post of deputy mayoral candidate from Janamat Party. She demanded action saying that he was beaten by the Nepali Congress cadres as she was the deputy mayoral candidate of the Janmat Party.
