Manoj Sah, an independent mayoral candidate of Janakpurdham, staged a demonstration in the office of the chief election officer on May 2 after he didn't find his election symbol on sample ballots. After resigning from the post of president of Nepali Congress, Janakpurdham sub-metropolis, Sah had given independent candidature for the post of mayor. The Election Commission had given him a clock tower election symbol for the local level elections. 

Candidate Sah alleged that he was confused as he did not see the election symbol on the sample ballot paper.
