JANAKPUR, Eghara barsiye balika ko samuhik balatkaar paschat mriteu. An 11-year-old girl was gang-raped and subsequently murdered at Bengadabar VDC in Dhanusha district on Monday. Police Inspector Govinda Puri said the Dalit girl from Bengadabar-9 was found dead at a bamboo clump. Police arrested Niraj Pariyar, 13, and Man Bahadur Pariyar, 17, of the same village in connection with the case. The arrested duo and the victim had reportedly gone to a nearby village to witness a fair organised on the occasion Krishnajanmashthami. “The trio were found watching TV at a neighbour’s house as they returned from the fair. The incident happened as they went home from there,” said Puri, the head investigator into the case. A police source said medical test of the body confirmed that the victim was raped.
