Nepali Congress cadres have assaulted Lil Bahadur KC,  chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center)'s Rural Municipal committee in Kaligandaki Rural municipality of Gulmi on May 8.  According to the victim he became unconscious after being hit with a helmet by Nepali Congress cadres while he was returning from a meeting on May 8. KC sustained injuries on his face. Jagadish Bhattarai,  secretary of Nepali Congress Gulmi, trief to brush off the incident as a minor push and shove. SP Bhim Bahadur Dahal of Gulmi police stated that police were aware about the incident and are investigating.
