Son of Nepali Congress's candidate for ward member physically assaulted in Bara by Janata Samajwadi Party's ward chairperson candidate and cadres

35-year-old Anil Yadav, son of Ram Babu Yadav, a Nepali Congress candidate for ward member of Devtal Rural municipality-2 of Bara has accused Udaya Prasad Yadav, 38, Janata Samajadi Party's candidate for the post of rural municipality chairperson, 21-year-old Roshan Yadav and other cadres of the party of injuring him by attacking him with sharp weapon and bamboo stick on May 7. He stated that he fell unconscious after he was charged with sharp weapon and did not recall who physically assaulted him after that. 

The victim alleged that the accused had been trying to attack him since May 5 threatening him to take cash and vote for him in the election. The victim sustained cuts and bruises on his head, eyes, and different body parts and is undergoing treatment in National Medical College in Birgunj since May 7. The victim's father said that a complaint was lodged at the District Police Office, Bara on May 8.
