Voting at Balaki Primary school polling center in Gandaki Rural Municipality-6 of Gorkha was halted due to a clash between cadres of CPN (Maoist Center) and Nepali Congress. Election officer for the rural municipality Basudev Regmi stated that cadres of the two parties were throwing stones at each other in the clash. Security forces including APF, Nepal Police, and Army remained deployed at the polling center. Police fired warning shots to control the situation. Maoist cadres are accused of capturing booth at the polling center since the past few elections.
