Polling at Barhathawa polling center in Barhathawa municipality-17 of Sarlahi was affected due to a clash between cadres of Janata Samajwadi party (JSP) and CPN (Maoist Center). According to Maoist Center leader Bhupnarayan Adhikari, Maoist Center's ward chairperson candidate Birendra Raya sustained injury after being attacked by JSP's war chairperson candidate Rambiswas Raya. Polling could not be resumed following repeated clash despite election commission's order to conduct the polling, according to election officer Subhash Yadav.
