Relatives and supporters of the incumbent Mayor, Bidur Kumar Karki, attacked the supporters of independent mayoral candidate Prahlad Chhetri of Bardibas municipality of Mahottari in Bardibas municipality-6, on May 13.  In the attack, Roshan Yadav, 34, Ranjit Yadav, 22, and Sunil Kumar Yadav, 17, of Bardibas-6 were injured. According to the victim's family, Saroj Karki, Mukesh Karki, and Shekhar Karki, grandsons of the incumbent Mayor of Bardibas Municipality Bidur Kumar Karki were involved in the physical assault on the supporters of independent candidate Prahlad Chhetri. According to the Area Police Office, Bardibas Mahottari, a search, and investigation is underway to arrest those involved in the beating.
