Devi Khhatri, 30, of Budhabare-3 in Jhapa and currently staying in Maitidevi of Kathmandu Metropolis-33 has been beaten expelled from home by her husband Nandalal Biswokarma, 40, on August 24. The victim sustained injuries to her chest, stomach, face and head after Nandalal punched and kicked her. She is undergoing treatment at a local medical shop. She said that her husband threatened her and told her to bring dowry from paternal home. She has filed a complaint at the Women and Children Service Centre in Metropolitan Police Range Kalimati on August 26. Inspector Sushila Pradhan of the center said that Metropolitan Police Circle Kamalpokhari has been asked to arrest the accused. The couple was married 23 years ago.
