Supporters of candidates resort to violent demonstration accusing election officers of announcing wrong vote count result in Gujara of Rautahat

The supporters of different local levels candidates vandalized the vote counting site in  Gajura municipality of Rautahat on May 21 accusing election officer of announcing wrong count results repeatedly. The supporters tried to breach the security and pelted stones at the counting site. Police fired two rounds of tear gases after situation turned tense.  Additional security was deployed from Area Police Office Chandranigahapur. According to CDO Krishna Bahadur Shahi of Rautahat, the official responsible for announcing wrong result was dismissed. Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN (Unified Socialist) cadres demanded recounting of votes.
