A 75-year-old woman has been beaten by a Local representative in Dang. A complaint has been lodged at the District Police Office, Dang, alleging that Deepa Nepali, a ward member of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis-18, had beaten 75-year-old Rukmadevi Nepali. Rukmadevi's left hand was paralyzed and her clothes were torn. The victim has alleged that Deepa, who was elected as a Dalit woman member from CPN UML, beat Rukmadevi for not voting in the election.
