Complaint lodged against assault on ward chairperson in Mahottari

Local representatives elected from CPN (Maoist Center) drew the attention towards the incident of assault on a ward chairperson. Ram Kishor Sah, ward chairperson of Bardibas municipaliyt-12 in Mahottari was assaulted in his own office by a group of people including Sohan Poudel, Samir Baitha, Ramanwin Mahato, Bimalesh Mahato, Sanjiv Mahato, Saroj Kumar Sharma, Upendra Mahato, and Chand Nat. The ward chairperson sustained injury on his hand in the assault and also lost his mobile phone. He filed a complaint against the accused on Sunday.
Issuing a press statement local representatives elected from CPN-Maoist Center condemned the incident of assault and demanded immediate action against those involved. They stated that the ward chairperson was assaulted over political feud.
