Local representatives including the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province Lalbabu Raut and members of provincial parliament have started a protest against the federal government demanding the integration of provincial police. They picketed the office of the head of Madhesh province on Sunday. They stated the protest program scheduled for a week would continue for two hours every day. The province government has been demanding its own police force in the light of nearing election.
