Biplav led Nepal Communist Party calls for all Nepal strike on August 23

The Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav) demanded the immediate implementation of three point agreement done with then KP Oli government. The party also called for nation wide strike on August 23 condemning the arrest warrant released for it's party's leadership rather than implementing the agreement's clauses. 

Other demands includes cancellation of MCC agreement, curbing the price hike and corruption, and taking back the fake cases against the party cadres. As a rehearse event for the nationwide strike, the protestors took to the street and staged torch rally and other protest activities on the evening of August 22. 

The strike is called combinedly by four different communist parties, namely Nepal Communist Party led by Biplav, Nepal Communist Party led by Rishi Kattel, Scientific Socialist Communist Party led by Aahuti, and Nepal Communist Party-Maoist Socialist led by Karnajit Budhathoki.
