82 people arrested, vandalism and arson reported in different places during nationwide bandh

Police arrested 82 people from different places for vandalism, arson, and looting during the Nepal bandh called by four small communist parties against alleged breach of the three-point agreement reached between the government and the Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand on 2021 March 4.

According to police, people have been detained from districts Kathmandu, 1 from Lalitpur, 7/7 from Chitwan and Dang, 8/8 from Kavre and Baglung, and 2/2 from Myagdi, Bardia, Ilam, and Doti, 3 from Arghakhanchi, 4 from Kailali, 10 from Bajura and 3 from Kanchanpur. 

Bandha enforcers broke the windowpane of bus bearing number plate Ba 4 B 9394 in Koteshwar, Kathmandu. Stones were pelted at E-Software College in Gyaneshwar and the window panes were broken. According to the police, lead was also broken by pelting stones at Kings College located in Bijuli Bazar. In Baneshwar Thapagaon,  a Nepal Yatahat vehicle was also pelted with stones and the window panes were broken.

According to the police, a small car, 3 big buses, and 2 trucks were vandalized in Chitwan. A pressure cooker bomb was found wrapped in red cloth on the road of Sunarya rural municipality 2 of Baitadi and on the road in Dhulikhel. According to the police, in more than a dozen places including Sainamaina in Rupandehi, Gularia, and Thakurbaba in Bardia suspicious bombs were found and the security personnel deactivated them.
