On August 23, two men, Upendra Shahi, 38, and Patak Shahi, 38, of Birendranagar municipality-9, used a sharp object to attack Lalit Gurung, a 34-year-old transport worker employed by Birendranagar municipality-9 Gharbhai Hilsa Transport Committee, Surkhet. Due to the assault, the accused sustained an injury on his back and underwent medical treatment in Maya Nursing Primary hospital. According to the police, the accused physically assaulted the victim over a minor dispute when Lalit was terminated from the committee. The accused absconded after the incident.
